Select Your Installer

Choose an MCS-certified installer. MCS certification is required for Smart Export Guarantee eligibility and ensures quality installation.

Step 4

Check Grant Eligibility

Check if you qualify for ECO4 scheme (100% funding for eligible households) or other grants. Solar panels currently have 0% VAT until March 2027.

Site Survey

Your installer will conduct a detailed site survey to assess your roof, electrical system, and design the optimal solar system for your property.

Step 6

DNO Notification

For systems under 3.68kW, only a G98 notification is needed. Larger systems require G99 application to your Distribution Network Operator (DNO).

G98 notification is typically quick (1-2 days). G99 can take 2-6 weeks.
Step 7

Installation

Professional installation by MCS-certified engineers. Most residential installations are completed in 1-2 days.

Step 8

SEG Registration

Register with an energy supplier for the Smart Export Guarantee to get paid for electricity you export to the grid. Rates vary from 1-15p/kWh.

Handover & Go Live

Receive your MCS certificate, system documentation, and start generating clean energy! Your smart meter will track your generation and exports.

Regular Maintenance

We recommend washing your solar panels every 2-3 months for maximum solar harvest. You can order a recurring service from one of our partners to take care of this for you.

Long-Term Support

In about 10 years, the installation company will contact you again for replacing the inverter and/or batteries if you have installed any.
